Homemade Chili

Here is a yummy recipe for a blustery winter day...
Homemade Chili

1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, chopped
1 can pinto or white beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
1 cup ketchup
3 TBS brown sugar
1 TBS chili powder
2 teas ground cumin
1/4 teas salt
1/4 teas garlic salt
1/8 teas ground pepper
1 to 2 bay leaves

Brown meat, add onion and cook until onion is soft.  Add spices, then liquids.  Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes.  Another option would be to add 1 green pepper, diced.  Serve with bread sticks (from a past post), rolls, or cinnamon rolls.  YUMMY!!!
